Emerson Tung has translated the "crab" imagery implied by its name into a design evocative of Japanese warriors and traditional armor, creating a unique mechanical aesthetic.
This unit features a low-profile chassis and a six-legged structure, armed with a 120mm main gun, missiles, and a rotary autocannon. It is a quintessential Yamaichi machine that fuses an overseas perspective of Japan with realistic weaponry design.

An imaginative armored world incorporating Japanese imagery, envisioned by an overseas concept artist.
TANKHEAD is an original mecha universe created by Emerson Tung, a concept artist who has worked on numerous titles such as *DOOM*, *Quake*, *Transformers*, and *Warhammer 40,000*.
Set against the backdrop of "Neverwar"—a global conflict raging on the planet Arde—the series depicts three major factions with distinct cultures and the diverse "Tankhead" mechs deployed on their battlefields.
Among these, the "Yamaichi Dominion" is the faction designed with a strong emphasis on Japanese culture and aesthetics.
Through the unique perspective of Emerson Tung, elements such as living creatures, traditional weaponry, and cultural motifs are reimagined into a distinctive military design.
