Description
The AK74M, a 5.45mm caliber rifle, was adopted by the Soviet Union at the end of the Cold War. This modernized model features a folding plastic stock and handguard, and side rails allow for the attachment of various optical devices. The GP25 under-barrel grenade launcher, an attachment for the AK, uses caseless 40mm grenades and has been widely used in combat since the Afghanistan conflict as a means of significantly enhancing infantry firepower. Its unique cylindrical shape and under-barrel mounting style have become one of the iconic features of the AK series.
The AK74M with the GP25 grenade launcher attached is recreated in 1/12 scale. It also includes a stock with a recoil pad to absorb the powerful recoil, and a 2.8x 1P78-type scope. (It can also be assembled without the launcher attached.)
